New Improvements to ECRT

The July 12, 2006 improvements to ECRT (Effort Certification Research Tool) are in place for the Effort Period 4 statements which will be available on Monday July 31, 2006. These updates are as follows:

  1. All users with a relationship to a statement, whether as approver or certifier, are now listed on the Effort Coordinators view of the statement.
  2. The Transaction history now displays the People Soft HSA number (for HSAs going forward).
  3. Effort values that are changed on the statement can now be saved when the 'save changes/note' button is clicked.
  4. Effort Coordinators now have the ability to view the list of researchers for Principle Investigators by entering the their People Soft ID.
  5. The Effort Coordinators now have a 'processed' list in their menu options which mirrors the 'not processed list' and will allow Effort Coordinators to see the status of statements for people not homed in their department.
  6. Now there is a menu option to view any statement by entering the emplid.
  7. The html emails have been fixed so they will now appear readable in most mail clients.
  8. Improvements to navigation have been made to reduce number of steps to complete routine tasks and reduce confusion amongst users.

These changes address high priority requests and are the extent of the modifications until October when the programmers will be able to resume working on priority items to enhance the ECRT system. Of course any bugs that are reported will be fixed as necessary. You can access ECRT at https://ecrt.eresearch.umn.edu/.
