How will EFS reporting change the CA role?

The role of a Certified Approver is not changing.

CA Awareness

All CAs should view the Financial Reporting demo provided on the EFS website and read all of the other reporting-related documents. This video demo presents the types of functionality that will be available and one example of each type of report; the demo does not show all reports that will be available. The reporting testing is still underway (until May) so this site will be updated with new and important information as we get closer to ‘Go-Live.’

A detailed crosswalk of the most commonly used UM Reports and Financial Reports on the Web is available here.  Available on this web site is the Sponsored Financial Reports on the Web /PeopleSoft Reports Crosswalk.

Keep in close touch with your area managers, Cluster Directors, and RRCs to get updates, address concerns, and ask questions.  Since many clusters may need to generate their own query it is recommended that whenever possible, units and clusters collaborate to solve common reporting needs.  Many college and department level committees are currently forming.  Join and participate to insure local concerns and needs are addressed.

Reminder:  If a query is developed that would benefit others at the U, there will be a process to review the query for technical issues and then make that query available to all users.

For the AHC, ART’s home page will be the key source of information for users.  This is where bulletins and/or updates on the ART-EFS conversion will be posted.
