NSF Information: Fastlane: "Edit PI Information" Function
NSF has announced that the new "Edit PI Information" function is now available on the FastLane homepage. It is listed under the PI/Co-PI functions section and is labeled Edit PI Info.

This function allows PIs (individuals who are on the NSF PI database) to modify their personal information. Types of information include name, address (including organizational affiliation), phone numbers, e-mail address, and demographic information. The tool was created to allow PIs to inform NSF of changes to this information, independent of the Proposal Preparation function. However, any changes made in Edit PI Information are reflected within the Proposal Preparation function. For convenience, PIs may continue to use Proposal Preparation to change this information as well. Please be aware that the PI's organizational affiliation does not necessarily have to be the same as the organization on a proposal or award that the PI may be associated with. Therefore, if a PI changes his/her organizational affiliation in Edit PI Information (either via the new stand-alone function or within Proposal Preparation), this will not automatically change the organization on a proposal or award. If the PI wants to change the organizational affiliation on an unsubmitted proposal, he/she must change this information on the cover sheet for that proposal.
